Even If It Gets Us Nowhere
Written by Alexander Perez. Directed by Lita Lofton.
From the playwright:
No one ever gave us a manual on how to interact with one another. Without this crucial piece of information many of us are left grappling with the behavioral inconsistencies that seem to plague our species. Overthinking can be troublesome; the heroes in our story try to turn it into something of an art form.
From the director:
I was excited about this play from the beginning! The text is surprising and hilarious, pairing contemporary themes and references with heightened vocabulary that feels like a slice of a time gone by. The script allows huge room for physical comedy and movement pieces; things that I have always been drawn to as a director. I cannot wait to create a vibrant, vaudevillian dream world to tell a lovely, modern story about taking risks and accepting love.
